Hello, my name is Omara, and I am thrilled to join Recovery Connections as a Recovery Peer Specialist in the CORE department. My passion has always been to help others regain their footing in life. Over the past 15 years, I have dedicated myself to working in outreach, connecting individuals with recovery treatments and housing opportunities.

My own journey through alcohol recovery was profoundly influenced by faith and supportive organizations that believed in me when I felt hopeless. This transformative experience changed my life for the better, and I am now a living testament to the power of determination and support. I firmly believe that with the right guidance, anything is possible.

This is why I am committed to being an advocate and partner in recovery, walking alongside others as they navigate their paths to healing. Together, we can create a supportive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
