John DeLisa is a person in long-term recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. After starting his recovery journey in September of 2011, John has gone on to pen research that laid the foundations for the Collegiate Recovery Community at the University of Central Florida. He developed Advanced Recovery Systems’ Referral Out and Alumni Program and is now proud to represent Central Florida’s premiere Recovery Community Organization, Recovery Connections of Central Florida! John lives happily in Casselberry, enjoying reading and spending time with his wife and dog.
