Destiny brings an enthusiastic & compassionate approach to her work as an information and referral specialist. She has lived experience with alcohol addiction, trauma, loss/grief and mental health therapy, which motivates her to connect with and understand with those who are struggling with similar hurdles. After overcoming addiction, she began working a 12-step program and found a job working for a treatment center. She has since found her true purpose at Recovery Connections in helping others who are struggling, after deciding she wanted to work in the non-profit field of recovery. She is working towards getting certified as a CRPS and continuing her education to be able to help more people. She believes in the power of human connection and multiple pathways to recovery. Today, she loves volunteering, spending time with her teenage son & Grandmother, and experiencing new adventures with friends.
