Overall impression of this opportunity

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the overall marketing and communications of Recovery Connections.  This individual will work with colleagues to promote the organization’s services, manage the external appearance of Recovery Connections, and coordinate all communication activities.  The ideal candidate will fully understand our mission and vision to properly convey them to our Central Florida community.   You will have a passion for helping others and compassion for those struggling with addiction and seeking recovery.

How you will help our community

·       Development of marketing plans and always maintaining brand image.

·       Design and production of promotional materials.

·       Contributing to website content and internal intranet pages.

·       Manage all social media accounts.

·       Create content and communication plan for all events.

·       Creating content for online and offline communication (blogs, articles, magazines, literature).

·       Administration of all marketing initiatives and projects.

·       Evaluates success of marketing campaigns when completed.

·       Liaison with external marketing agencies, designers, and suppliers for marketing materials.

·       Management of marketing budget.

 

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

The skills and experience we are looking for

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

·       Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

·       Knowledge of marketing strategy and traditional and digital media channels.

·       Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.

·       Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and make suggestions.

·       Ability to work independently.

Education and Values necessary to succeed

 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or a related field is required.

·        Three to five years of experience as a marketing and communications specialist or a similar role.

·        Nonprofit experience (preferred)

·        Bilingual (preferred).

·        Flexibility at a time of exciting growth for the organization.

·        Have a positive attitude and be proactive.

Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Title: Finance & Accounting Manager

Overall impression of this opportunity

The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall recording, monitoring, and maintaining of financial records as well as reporting on all grants and contracts. This includes submission of reporting, documentation of programs, and billings to funders. The successful candidate will serve as the liaison with our contracted accounting service to provide financial information and in preparation for submission of invoices to funders.

Job Functions (List in order of importance)

Ø  Manage the overall agency budget vs. actual expenses

Ø  Manage the Grant Administration process.  Ensure compliance with Grantor contracts including accurate spending tracking, timely reimbursement and grant objective reporting.

Ø  Provide reporting information and invoicing for reimbursements to funders and ensure grant and contract objectives are accurately reported to funders

Ø  Manage the Company General Ledger, ensuring all transactions are input timely and accurately

Ø  Manage the monthly closing process ensuring the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers are closed timely and accurately

Ø  Ensure all Bank Reconciliations are performed monthly

Ø  Manage the financial reporting process including reports comparing actual results vs Budget goals and projections

Ø  Manage the payroll process.  Liaise with the outsourced payroll and human resources contractor to ensure all changes are processed timely and all input is communicated to ensure an accurate and timely payroll.

Ø  Build proforma budgets in Excel and QuickBooks for new grant opportunities

Ø  Perform internal audits on a quarterly basis throughout the calendar year to verify adherence to operational and policy requirements

Ø  Conduct compliance monitoring activities on an ongoing basis

Ø  Manage the Annual Budget process.  Working with senior management, ensure that operational plans are quantified, and financial benchmarks established.

Ø  Strategically map with the leadership team the agency’s future goals and objectives

Ø  Assist the leadership team in setting goals that promote organizational growth, an inclusive organizational culture, and meaningful impact in the community

Ø  Other duties as assigned

 

The skills and experience we are looking for

·        Exceptional skills in contract management, including invoice and report generation

·        Proficiency using QuickBooks and Excel required

·        Ability to create, run, read, and analyze financial reports

·        Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines

·        Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and recommend and/or make decisions

·        Abstract reasoning ability and good judgment

·        Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

·         Proficient at working collaboratively among colleagues

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

·        Proficiency in MS Office software and RDP a plus
