Job Title: Lead Peer Recovery Specialist

Direct Supervisor: Programs Coordinator

Compensation: $22.50/Hour, 16 hours/week, Non-Exempt

Hours: Hours are 4PM – 1AM, Saturdays and Sundays

Overall impression of this opportunity

The Lead Peer Recovery Specialist is responsible overseeing Peer Specialists that correspond with their assigned shift. They will supervise the necessary personnel to successfully execute programs and strategies developed by Programs Coordinator. They will receive hotline calls and connect with people seeking support by aiding them in navigating local resources and sharing their personal recovery experiences. In addition to these duties there will be expectations to assist with data entry and management of the Internal Resource Database. Reports and reviews of whom the Peer Lead supervises will be expected to be reported to Programs Coordinator on a weekly basis.

How you will help our community

  • Ensure the Internal Resource Database is updated regularly to reflect current community support and accurate contact information
  • Share their personal experiences in recovery with individuals calling into the Central Florida Recovery Resource Hotline for support
  • Log related assessment and outcome data for each hotline call
  • Supervise and oversee the daily activities of Certified Recovery Peer Specialists (CRPS) staffing the hotline and other programs.
  • Provide annual performance reviews of direct reporting employees
  • Support the Outreach team as needed
  • Other duties as needed

The experience we hope you have

  • Hold a current certification as Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS), comparable national certification for Recovery Peer Support Services, or eligibility and willingness to receive certification within one year.
  • Substantial experience working with individuals with substance use disorder and addiction recovery
  • At least two years of supervisory experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Passion for supporting those struggling with addiction and seeking recovery
  • Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).
  • Previous hotline experience (Preferred)

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the overall marketing and communications of Recovery Connections.  This individual will work with colleagues to promote the organization’s services, manage the external appearance of Recovery Connections, and coordinate all communication activities.  The ideal candidate will fully understand our mission and vision to properly convey them to our Central Florida community.   You will have a passion for helping others and compassion for those struggling with addiction and seeking recovery.

  • Development of marketing plans and always maintaining brand image.
  • Design and production of promotional materials.
  • Contributing to website content and internal intranet pages.
  • Manage all social media accounts.
  • Create content and communication plan for all events.
  • Creating content for online and offline communication (blogs, articles, magazines, literature).
  • Administration of all marketing initiatives and projects.
  • Evaluates success of marketing campaigns when completed.
  • Liaison with external marketing agencies, designers, and suppliers for marketing materials.
  • Management of marketing budget.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The skills and experience we are looking for

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
